On Covid shots and Sin
A Response to Dr. Sherri Tenpenny
I get accused of picking fights, of enjoying to fight. It is the way that I was made. The Lord sometimes makes men to fight and He doesn’t make them where they hate what they do. I say this, because while what I like and what I am good at is opposing the enemies of the Gospel, what I am called to is the guidance and protection of the Lord’s people, and today I have the somewhat distasteful task of being controversial, hopefully not adversarial, with someone that I appreciate and respect, Dr. Sherri Tenpenny.
For those of you who don’t know, Dr. Tenpenny is the real deal. She was a leading doctor in Emergency Medicine when I was just a kid and has been fighting against Big Pharma, really all of Big Health, for decades, giving the opposition to dangerous vaccines and other drugs an intelligent and credible voice when very few people had seen through the web of darkness with which their manufacturers have surrounded them and ensnared so much of the world. Dr. T has been one of the strongest, most articulate voices against the Covid hysteria and the seizure of power that governments executed in its name. She also speaks freely about the Grace of God available in Jesus Christ to sinners. I have enjoyed much of her writing both on health and spiritual issues and have learned some from her about both, so I want to begin by apologizing for having to, in some sense, start a squabble within the family as it were when we have so many enemies outside and so few friends within, and she is a true friend, a true healer, and a comforter of believers.
Where we have a problem began on March 19 when Dr. T posted this article on her Walking With God substack.
My problem with this, let me first say, is not a hypothetical problem. The consciences of Christ’s people are being injured. Faith is being asked to believe something that is not true. And scripture is being wrested out of context to say something that it doesn’t say. I use as my banner the cross of the Knights Hospitaller, the order of knights charged with protecting pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem, and I take seriously the duty to protect the Lord’s Pilgrims on their way to His Holy City. I submit the comments by Mrs. Starke, a lady that I do not know, as evidence of actual harm to show that I am not attacking at random or to make a point, but am acting for good cause.
After all of that, as I considered the matter, it became clear to me that there were deeper issues that needed to be addressed. And that clearing up these issues might be of use to believers in general and so I decided to answer both in a longer, more complete way, and a way more accessible to the public.
Issue 1: The Temple of the Holy Spirit and Living Sacrifices
The first issue here is a misunderstanding of Scripture. It is very popular to use 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 in the way that Dr. Tenpenny has here.
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
I think that this understanding must have been originally pushed by gym teachers or health drink salesmen, these verses have nothing whatsoever to do with your physical body or with what you eat, drink, or inject.
And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?
Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. 1 Corinthians 3:1-15
Paul is here discussing divisions in the church and the nourishment of the Word. The bad things that he says we might bring into the temple are envy, strife, divisions. It is Carnality and Sectarianism that Paul is warning the Corinthian Church against, not bad dietary or medical decisions. We make a big mistake when we import our overly individualistic worldview into Paul’s text because he isn’t here talking about our bodies as the temple at all, or even our ‘selves’, but the corporate church. We are all one temple together, not physically but spiritually. Look at the immediately preceding passage, say v. 14-15. Do you suppose that Paul physically built the bodies of the members of the Corinthian church? When he says he ‘laid the foundation’ does he mean their feet, or maybe their core? Was Paul’s contribution to the Gospel a new kind of tummy crunches? And is the building that he expected the Corinthian church to complete built with protein shakes and barbells? If this is altogether ludicrous, then can we please move away from using 1 Corinthians 3 to push people to make medical or health decisions?
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1
But what of Romans 12:1? It says ‘bodies’, right there. Surely, this is referring to physical health? Let’s handle the Scripture a little more respectfully, as if we are not trying to make our point but discover Paul’s point, or the Holy Spirit’s point. Three questions immediately arise from this verse.
Why does he say, ‘sacrifices’? A sacrifice is something that is being destroyed.
Why does he say, ‘therefore’? What is the ‘therefore’ there for?
What does ‘holy’ mean? How are we to be separated to God? Does this refer to physical ‘cleanness’ as from pharmaceuticals?
I suggest that the answer is found in context.
For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”
Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
“For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has become His counselor?”
“Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?”
For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
Romans 11:25-12:13
Paul begs us to present our bodies(plural) as ‘a living sacrifice’(singular), and to do so because(that’s the ‘therefore’ backwards, looking back to the referrant), all things are of Christ, and for Christ, and to Christ and He has graciously chosen to save. He has chosen to save particularly those who are not our friends, those who do not follow us, as for example the Jews to the First Century Church. Paul, who has already said that he would give up his own eternal salvation for the benefit of the Jewish people asks the Church at Rome to be willing to do the same thing, to offer themselves in martyrdom to call souls to Christ, whether souls of friends or enemies.
And so, we must come to the question of ‘holiness’. What are those things which we ought to separate ourselves from, so as to be acceptable for the company of the Lord? And this opens up:
Issue 2: Disentangling the Physical/Medical/Social from the Spiritual Issues of Covid
One great thing about the last 3 years(I don’t write that very often), is that it has become transparently obvious that our physical and medical and social decisions have spiritual effects and vice versa that our spiritual decisions, whether made by ourselves or hopefully Our Glorious Substitute, will determine our physical, medical, and social destinies. But for understanding all of this there is no better advice than that of The Offspring—’You gotta keep ‘em separated.’
There is much good information, true information, in Dr Tenpenny’s article, and her work in general, about the dangers of the covidshot and a look at why people might have taken it. And I want to take this chance to say absolutely unambiguously, the shot was not, as far as I can tell, beneficial to anyone who took it. It shows every sign of being an unmitigated disaster. I think that the original ‘virus’ was an engineered pathogen of some sort, not weighing in on that, but my two favorites for knowing that side of it are Sasha Latypova and Brian Mowrey and here are links to two of their articles about covid and the shots. Basically, there is very little evidence that the shot has done any good and considerable evidence of harm. To me, the strongest evidence against it is in the manufacturing details. My background is as a Manufacturing Engineer. I have worked in the Food Industry and Automotive Supply for 15 years, these are not drug manufacturing but they are regulated industries and the manufacturing documents show that they are not following Good Manufacturing Practices(GMP) and that you can’t know what you are getting or what its effects will be. The active ingredient is poorly synthesized, leading to numerous smaller, uncharacterized, proteins being manufactured in your body, for an uncontrolled amount of time. The active ingredient, even the ones that are ‘full length’ and correct, which is less than 60% if I remember correctly, may be improperly folded, have other conformation or chirality issues, leading to prion-like behavior. The encasing in the ‘lipid nanoparticles’ is very dubious and because of the admitted delicacy of the ‘active ingredient’ this process is likely to cause further damage, in addition to the ‘lipid nanoparticles’ being biologically harmful on their own. But to me, the kicker, is that the whole solution is not mechanically mixed, and there are no purity assays being conducted on the manufactured batches. So that, even if it were a perfect product that could cure all disease with no side affect, in the test batches, when production was scaled up at ‘warp speed’ with no manufacturing controls no one knows, with any reasonable degree of certainty, what is in your shot, which is why some people get ‘hot shots’ and some people get total duds.
Not only was the shot bad for your health, in a lot of ways, but it was a vehicle designed to take away freedom; to concentrate control of the world system in the hands of a few. I believe that the way that this was done shows signs of being deliberately organized on Occult principles, those who have taken the shot were being offered as a sacrifice to demons in exchange for power. I can’t say strongly enough, that there is nothing good about any of this. But, to the question of ‘holiness’ my guide is the Lord Jesus Christ,
When He had called all the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear Me, everyone, and understand: There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!”
When He had entered a house away from the crowd, His disciples asked Him concerning the parable. So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?” And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” Mark 7:14-23
The Shot is not capable of defiling you in a spiritual way. It is not a sinful thing which can separate you from Christ. There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can do that. It is a bad shot made with bad intentions. But, putting it in your body is not a sin. Sin is a thing that causes separation from God, things like evil thoughts, sexual immorality, violations of charity to other men, lies, violations of love to God. Taking the shot might be dumb and it might be weak and it might be fearful, but we’ve all done worse, and the self-righteousness that says, ‘I passed the test. I got it right.’ even if it doesn’t add, ‘And you got it wrong neiner neiner neiner’ is far worse and in greater need of repentance than fear, weakness, or stupidity.
Issue 3:Putting our Hope in Homeopathic Medicine
Allopathic(mainstream) Medicine has let us down terribly. It will be a long time before many of us trust any doctor again, at all. And we will never trust them like we used to. That ship has sailed. Are there other medical truths that have been suppressed? Yes. Are there lifestyle changes that can improve our physical well-being? Yes. Some of these truths will come out I think and cause some improvement in life and health. But let’s be clear. Allopathic Medicine let us down most because we trusted it most. If we put that same kind of faith in Homeopathic and Alternative medicine, they will let us down just as badly. Much of the Alternative Medicine that is practiced now is less invasive, more balanced, less infected with Satanic pride. But it won’t stay that way. It has the same deadly tendencies as the Mainstream Medicine, and if we trust in it they will all be realized. It’s no fun for your only hope to be invisible and intangible, to have nothing to hang your hat on but a Christ who seems very absent. But trusting in anything else, from whatever doctor, is no better than trusting in the shot. Our calling is Sola Christos, Christ Alone no other hope, no other faith.
Conclusion
This has helped to clarify a lot of the issues of the last few years for me, and I hope that it is helpful to you too. I am sorry to take shots at one of our own, hopefully I have been kept within decent bounds by the very real respect, admiration, and appreciation that I feel for Dr. Sherri and that she deserves from the Church.
Dr. T, you say sin is ‘not being like Christ’, but the rock-bottom truth of the Gospel is that because we can never be ‘like Christ’, He became like us. Real life isn’t like Cinderella. The truth is that happily ever after doesn’t take place in the Prince’s castle, it takes place in a shack where the Prince digs ditches to put food on His and Cinderella’s table. The fantasy of our ever being ‘up there’ where God is is a very Old Testament fantasy, and when He creates New Heavens and a New Earth, it won’t be a palace of ease and pride. It’ll be a muddy, messy place full of the Prince and Princess’s dirty children running around in diapers. What I mean to say, is that we aren’t being made like our imagined God. We are being made like Jesus of Nazareth, a man who drank with drunks, was loved by whores, abandoned all of the people who got it right to chase after one sinful black sheep, and experienced fear and weakness. He didn’t change when He went back to His Father. That thought is unworthy of Him. He is not a man that He should repent. It is not our fortitude or discernment or any of that that needs to level up. Just our view of Christ. Love and peace, jc
Jon, I don't consider your post taking shots at Dr T. She has been rock-solid on this clotshot from the beginning, in fact predicting "unexplained death" of healthy people within 14-18 months of the 2-shot treatment.
I especially appreciate your point on defilement of the body, that it comes not from what goes in, but what comes from it. It made me start to consider sin in both the acceptance and the administration of the clotshot. I don't know why there is any distinction between the various unhealthy things we ingest or the shots themselves, but I'll stick with shots.
Considering bringing it into the body:
The unknowing public follows the advice of all the "experts" and governmental organizations, mandates, and all the touting of the shots to "stop the spread, protect yourself, lessen your illness," considering this a sin is contrary to someone defiling one's own body by intake.
But what of the person accepting a dangerous substance into one's body with knowledge that the effects are a danger? Or subjecting your children to such injection? One of the many doctors we had to visit during 2021 was a strong pusher of the jabs - "Do it so your grandkids can come over and not be subject to the eeevil virus! I did it to my kids." I wonder if he'll ever have grandchildren.
Legally, ignorance is no defense, right?
But, what of the jabbers? The one physician I mentioned above was not a virologist or immunologist so not an "expert" on that particular field (he certainly has a very good reputation in his field); he bought into the "official" line of thinking and was eager to spread it. Sinful? I certainly call it unprofessional - pushing jabs causes harm. Even my readings at the time were sufficient to question the "official line," to include the writings and interviews of our beloved Dr T, and I've only been reinforced in my decision on the shot.
In any event, I appreciate your taking the time to post this and your interaction with Dr T. I consider her to be an outstanding leader in the fraud that has been foisted upon, well, the entire world. And I wouldn't take your interaction with her in any way but positive.
Yep - me too.
