I am anxious to read your commentary on Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. I guess I am a gnostic. I see no need for a resurrection following God's wisdom in the Beatitudes. God bless you for sharing the world. As the Biden wars rage on, we are likely to see mass conversions to Christianity. Catch the wave, brother!

The Sermon on the Mount is a restatement of the Law which came before, a perfect restatement of a perfect Law. If wisdom was the goal then you would be absolutely right. But we don't need wisdom. Even if the Gnostic Perfecti were real that would not be a worthwhile or desirable target. We need death. And we need a guilty verdict. But we need both of those things as means to an end. The End, the Telos, is Resurrection. It was only to make all things New that He made all things to begin with.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks for reading.
