Response from Congressman Andrew Clyde concerning Safety Signals due to COVID-19 Vaccines
Dear Mr. Cutchins,
Thank you for contacting me to share your sincere concerns regarding the safety and necessity of the various COVID-19 vaccines. As your Congressman, I welcome the opportunity to be of service and encourage you to sign up for my weekly e-newsletter, if you haven’t already, to stay up to date on events in Washington, D.C., and at home in the Ninth District.
Let me begin by saying that I believe in individual liberties and small government, and I am fighting both in Washington and here at home in Georgia to keep Washington bureaucrats out of so many of the decisions you and your family make each day. That includes advocating for individual choice when it comes to healthcare decisions, as I believe individuals, in consultation with their physician, are able to make the best decision for themselves regarding immunization against communicable diseases, including COVID-19.
Personally, I don't believe lawmakers should make habit of substituting their knowledge for that of medical professionals when it comes to discussing health care choices, for when politicians do inject themselves, I find that the country is worse off.
To that end, please know that I will keep your letter in mind as our nation continues to navigate these uncharted waters as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thank you again for contacting me.
Rep. Clyde,
I appreciate your commitment to individual choice and medical liberty, I hope that you recognize that the government has already invaded that arena and the question is, are you going to exercise the Oversight function for which the people of Hall County elected you, or are you going to delegate that function to unelected bureaucrats?
You say that lawmakers should not substitute their knowledge for medical professionals, but I asked you about a government institutions, the CDC and FDA, not following their congressional mandates. This is not a medical question, but one of policy and oversight. Why are they not responding to safety signals which have tripped their own alarms?
It is the task of Congress to hold rogue agencies accountable. You support investigating the ‘Weaponization of Justice Department and FBI’ and don’t pass the buck based on their legal or law enforcement credentials, I don’t see how the medical credentials of CDC or FDA are any different. I would think that you would be excited by the chance to push back against a bloated unaccountable government agency harming your constituents. This is the fight for American Liberty. Will you stand up and fight for the people of Northeast Georgia when we need you the most? Are you in Washington to fight for our interests or only your own and those of Big Pharma and the Deep State? Your actions in the coming months will make the answer clear.
Respectfully,
Jon Cutchins

Spineless.
Way to hold him accountable! He had a weaselly response and shouldn't be allowed to get away with that.
